Cultural heritage in Punat

Church of the Holy Trinity

This parish church was built between 1767 and 1777. The interior is adorned with numerous altars. The oldest and most valuable among them is the baroque main altar from 1787, a work by the priest and sculptor Pavle Riedl. 

St. Peter Archaeological Site

Above the marina in Punat, in an area called Kanajt, there are remains of sacred buildings.

Interpretation Centre Stari Toš in Punat

In the old town core of Punat, there is a permanent exhibition on traditional olive oil production. Here, you can see the old toš, one of the best-preserved olive mills on the island of Krk, which is a protected cultural heritage site.

Košljun Island

Košljun Island is a unique cultural and historical site where a Franciscan monastery is located. The monks have been preserving numerous valuable items, collected over centuries, and have kept them safe to this day. The island can be reached by taxi boats from Punat or excursion boats from the town of Krk.
